There’s a place for you here
The church isn’t a building we visit; it’s a family of believers in Jesus Christ living out their faith together. If you’re thinking about belonging here, this page walks you through it step by step, with no rush and no pressure.
Belonging
From guest to family
So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God.
Ephesians 2:19
The Bible teaches that those who believe in Christ don’t live out their faith alone; they become part of God’s family. The local church is where we experience that family: we worship God together, learn from his Word, pray for one another and carry each other’s burdens.
Belonging is a journey, and everyone goes at their own pace. You’re welcome to come along and get to know us for as long as you like before deciding on any further step, and you’ll be just as welcome at every stage.
The path
Steps towards belonging
These steps aren’t a test or a condition of being welcomed. They’re signposts along a clear path for anyone who wants to follow it.
-
Come along
The best way to get to know us is to come to our weekly meeting, every Wednesday at 6:30pm at All Nations Hub. Come as you are; there’s no need to book. And if you let us know you’re coming, we’ll be glad to welcome you.

Get to know us
Friendships grow over time. Chat with the people you meet, and ask about anything on your mind. We speak Arabic, and use English when needed.

Talk with the pastor
When you’re ready, the church’s pastor would be glad to meet you and listen to your story and your questions about faith and church life. You can ask for a meeting by WhatsApp or phone.

Believer’s baptism
Everyone who has trusted in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord is called to declare their faith publicly through baptism by immersion, in obedience to Christ’s command. Baptism does not save; it bears witness to a salvation we have received by grace through faith.
-
Membership
Membership is a mutual commitment between a believer and the church family: to worship God together, care for one another and serve together. We’ll explain the steps to membership when you meet the pastor, and answer your questions patiently.
-
Serving with us
God has given every believer gifts to serve others with. We’ll help you find a place to serve that suits your gifts and circumstances.
Baptism
Why do we baptise believers?
We are an evangelical Baptist church, and we understand from the New Testament that baptism follows personal faith in Christ. Going down into the water is a vivid picture of dying with Christ to our old life, and coming up out of it a picture of rising with him to new life.
We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4
Is baptism necessary for salvation?
No. Salvation is God’s gift of grace, which we receive through faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism is a step of obedience and a public declaration of that faith.
I was baptised as a baby – what does this mean for me?
We respect your background and your family’s history of faith. The pastor would be glad to sit down with you, explain from the Bible why we practise believer’s baptism and listen to your questions, so that you can make your decision with conviction and without any pressure.
Do I need to be a member to come to the meetings?
No. Our meetings are open to everyone, whatever their background, whether they are believers or seekers who want to know more about Jesus.
Serving
Serve with your gifts
As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.
1 Peter 4:10
Serving in the church isn’t reserved for a select few. It might be welcoming newcomers, praying, lending a practical hand or something else entirely. Talk to us about what you’d love to offer, and we’ll think together about the right place for you. To find out about the areas we serve in, visit the Our ministries page.
Safeguarding children and adults at risk: every ministry involving children or adults at risk follows the safer recruitment procedures in place in the United Kingdom, including appropriate background checks and training before anyone begins. Read our safeguarding policy to find out more.
