Giving

Giving with joy and thankfulness

Giving in the church is a way of thanking God for his grace and of sharing practically in his work. It is a free, personal decision that comes from the heart, not from pressure.

The biblical foundation

Why do we give?

We give because God first gave to us. In Jesus Christ we have received grace we did not deserve, and giving is one of the ways we thank him.

Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7

Thankfulness to God

Everything we have is a gift from God. When we give, we acknowledge that he is the source of every good thing in our lives.

Worship from the heart

Giving is part of worship, not a way of earning God’s favour. Salvation is a free gift of grace, received through faith in Christ.

Partners in ministry

When we give together, we share as one family in the church’s mission and in loving the people around us.

Where giving goes

How is giving used?

Giving goes towards the church’s mission and our shared life together. These are the broad areas it supports.

Meetings and worship

The practical costs of our weekly meeting, so that it remains a welcoming place for worship, prayer and fellowship.

Bible teaching

Teaching God’s word and preparing resources that help believers and seekers grow in faith.

Care and practical love

Looking after members of our church family and standing alongside those going through difficult times.

Sharing the good news

Taking the message of the gospel, with love and respect, to Arabic speakers and others in Liverpool.

Faithfulness

Transparency and accountability

We regard every gift as something entrusted to us, and we aim to handle it with integrity before God and before people.

Having regard for honourable things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

2 Corinthians 8:21
  • Used for its intended purpose: giving is used to serve the church’s mission and life, in the areas described above.
  • Responsible stewardship: we aim to manage giving carefully and wisely, avoiding waste.
  • Respecting your privacy: your giving is a personal matter between you and God, and we treat your information with discretion and respect.
  • Answering your questions: if you have a question about giving or how it is used, we will be glad to give you a clear answer.

The practical step

How can I give?

To arrange your giving or to ask about it, please contact the church leadership directly. We will arrange a suitable way with you and answer any questions you have.

  1. Get in touch

Send us a WhatsApp message, use the contact page, or have a chat with us after the weekly meeting.

  2. We arrange it together

The church leadership will contact you personally to explain how you can give and answer any questions you have.

  3. Give freely and joyfully

You decide what to give and when, as you have determined in your heart, with no pressure at all.

You are not expected to give

If you are visiting or getting to know the church, you are our guest. We do not expect you to give, and you will not be asked to.

Coming to the meeting, asking for prayer and talking with us about faith are always open to you, with nothing expected in return.

Do I have to give in order to attend or ask for prayer?

No. The meeting is open to everyone, and prayer and pastoral care never depend on giving. We welcome you just as you are.

Why are there no payment details on this page?

At present we arrange giving through direct contact with the church leadership, so that we can answer your questions personally. Get in touch on WhatsApp or through the contact page and we will arrange it with you.

Can I give in ways other than money?

Yes. Your time, talents and prayers are precious gifts too. Find out about our ministries, or read how you can join us and serve with us.

Have a question about giving?

We would love to hear from you. Send us a message and we will be glad to reply.
